Quarterly Cybersecurity & Web Dev Newsletter
Fall 2025 — by Maria Galante
This semester, I focused on applying secure coding habits while expanding my web development skills. Every project I build now considers how users, interfaces, and databases interact from a cybersecurity standpoint. I’ve learned that good design is not just about appearance—it’s about building trustworthy, efficient systems that protect data while staying visually consistent and easy to use.
In my portfolio, you’ll now find sections dedicated to both front-end projects and cybersecurity labs. From structured CSS layouts to Python scripts simulating encryption concepts, each project represents a step toward my goal of becoming an ethical hacker with a strong understanding of modern web vulnerabilities. This newsletter page serves as a place to reflect on progress, document lessons learned, and share updates with classmates and instructors.
Upcoming months will bring even more integration between design and defense. I’m currently working on strengthening accessibility compliance, implementing secure form validation, and experimenting with cloud-based portfolio hosting. My mission is to combine professional coding standards with security awareness—ensuring each line of code serves both purpose and protection.
